Last few years, I've been a guest speaker at UCLA Extention branding classes and career coaching seminars at my alma mater in Tokyo, Tsuda University. Luckily, at both classes, I've received rave reviews from both the students and professors. But I wanted to do better in these engagements and become more helpful to the young students.
I have been a big fan of the book, Designing Your Life (DYL) by legendary authors and Stanford professors, Bill Burnett and Dave Evans. So it was an easy decision to sign up for DYL Coach Certification Workshops in the summer of 2021.
I not only learned DYI principles directly from Bill and Dave, but also enjoyed discussions with fellow attendees, many of whom were professional coaches and counselors at schools and businesses. The conversations were like mini case studies in real life.
DYL applies to coaching and beyond: in deep thinking and evaluating every situation and issue in life, big and small. DYL framework and re-framework are some of the most valuable in my life's "tool box." I am so grateful for DYL team, Bill and Dave to offer this virtual workshop and share their knowledge, wisdom and wit.
